Nigerian Minister of State for Education, Professor Anthony Gozie Anwukah, has said that all teachers in the Federal Unity Colleges must be registered under the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
The minister said this during a Joint Committee Meeting with delegates from the Teachers Registration Council (TRCN) and the National Union of Teachers (NUT) in his office in Abuja.
He said all teachers in the Federal Unity Colleges must comply with the code of conduct of the Teacher Professional Registration Policy in order not to contravene the law.
The minister directed that all briefings from the committee should be channeled to the Federal Ministry of Education through the Chief Executive of TRCN.
The committee led by the Registrar/Chief Executive of TRCN, Professor Joshua Olusegun Ajiboye had told the Minister that the purpose of their visit was to implore him to intervene on the continuous flocking of unprofessional teachers into the unity schools.
