PSG defender Serge Aurier is out of the Champions League clash with Arsenal after he was denied entry to the UK due to his ongoing court case.
Aurier was sentenced to two months in prison for violence against a police officer in September, as well as being handed a £521 fine and made to pay court costs, but the 23-year-old immediately appealed.
The Ligue 1 champions, in an official club statement, confirmed the Ivorian’s absence from the squad and have claimed that the decision affects the fairness of the competition.
PSG initially had the visa accepted from the British authorities on October 18, but it was withdrawn by the Home Office on November 16.
PSG claim that UEFA have thrown their weight behind them in criticising the British law and bemoaning the lack of presumed innocence.
The Parisiens are also upset by the lengthy time to hear the appeal and consider it to be a lack of respect after hearing back on Tuesday at 2pm French time.
PSG were due to train at the Emirates later this afternoon and consider the lack of sensitivity to be unacceptable.
The club ended their statement by calling on their supporters to unite behind the team more than ever before.
