The Group Chief Executive Officer of Oando Plc, Mr Wale Tinubu, has called for spiritual devotion, hard work and purposeful governance to advance Nigeria’s peace, stability and development.
Tinubu, who joined President Bola Tinubu in Makkah to perform Umrah, described the pilgrimage as an opportunity for the Federal Government delegation to pray for the country and renew its commitment to service.
He said the religious exercise underscored the values of humility, gratitude and brotherhood, which should guide efforts to build a prosperous nation.
“In Makkah, the distinctions we carry fall away, leaving humility, gratitude, brotherhood and a spirit of service.
“I am honoured to join President Bola Tinubu in performing the lesser Hajj.
“May Allah accept our Ibadah and grant our nation peace, progress and prosperity,” he said.
The Oando chief also commended the administration’s economic reforms, saying they were opening up opportunities in the oil and gas industry.
He stressed that the reforms should translate into better living conditions, wider economic opportunities and development that benefits Nigerians across all sections of society.
He expressed optimism that citizens would experience the full benefits of the measures as their implementation progressed.
He joined the President on Friday for Umrah alongside senior government officials, state governors and business leaders, including the Chairman of BUA Group, Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu.
