The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Babachir David Lawal, has assured the government of Sierra Leone that Nigeria would give the necessary support to the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA) in accordance with the agreement signed by the two countries in 2012.
Lawal said this on Friday in his office when he received a delegation from the SLRSA led by the Executive Director, Dr. Sarah Bendu.
He said the manpower required by the agency would be deployed to Sierra Leone as soon as possible in order to resume the implementation of the agreement.
He, therefore, asked the agency to forward to Nigeria details of the support that is required so that the demands can be looked into without delay.
In her remarks, Dr. Sarah Bendu expressed appreciation of Sierra Leone to Nigeria for the support that has been extended to the country in the education sector, military and most recently in the health sector during the ebola epidemic.
