This is the second strange incident in less than one week in the same area.
A dog was found feasting on a new born baby abandoned at a refuse dump last Sunday in the same area.
The baby girl found inside the well on Saturday afternoon was believed to have been dumped a day before she was discovered.
“On my way to my shop, I saw many people gathered by an abandoned well in the area. It caught my attention and when I got there, I saw the baby floating inside the well.
“We called the traditional leader, who came with the local chief. They called the police, took pictures and asked some of the boys around to remove the baby. Afterwards, she was buried few meters away from there,” an eyewitness told reporters.
He added that this was the fourth of such incident this year.
The Sarkin Gwallameji of Gwallameji, Hassan Ibrahim, confirmed the incident, saying he had ordered for the investigation of the incident.
