Oyo state governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, lost his polling unit to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections held on Saturday.
The governor had equally lost his bid to return to the senate on February 23 as he was beaten by the PDP candidate, Kolawole Balogun.
On Saturday, the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Seyi Makinde, defeated Adebayo Adelabu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), at the polling unit of Ajimobi.
Makinde polled 145 votes ahead of Adelabu who had 112 votes at Oluyole Community Grammar School, Ibadan, where the governor voted.
As results trickle in from polling units and wards across the state, the PDP is said to be in early lead.
