The drive to provide nutritional food to combat malnutrition, a programme of the Wife of the President, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, has continued to receive boost with the patronage of personalities and organisations from various parts of the country.
Tagged, GET-INVOLVED, the programme is aimed at raising awareness about the scourge of malnutrition which experts say may kill over 500,000 children in the country.
Recently, there was an alarm on the rising cases of the ailment in some states with a special focus on the internally-displaced persons camps.
The alarming rate, however, prompted the Wife of the President to initiate the crusade for an immediate action through the exhibition of nutritional food envisaged to be patronised by willing donors to stem the scourge.
Some state governors including that of Kebbi, Imo and Kaduna as well as wives of some governors, legislators at National Assembly and State Houses of Assembly, ministers and private sector officials have so far visited the conference centre, venue of the ceremony in response to the clarion call.
