Former president Goodluck Jonathan has called the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration a failue which thrives on lies and propaganda.

Speaking in Abuja on Thursday while receiving in audience one of the national chairmanship aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party, Professor Tunde Adeniran and members of his campaign team, Jonathan said the solidarity being shown to the party even though it lost election at the centre in 2015 is a pointer that “There is something in the PDP.

In a veiled refrence to Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, Jonathan recalled that a former governor who is now a minister once stated that all it would take a serious government to fix power in Nigeria is just six months.

“The PDP administration for 16 years did well and will continue to do well but this administration has done nothing. They deployed propaganda and lies at a professional level,” he said.

“In the power sector, we did well to revive it. A state governor attacked our government, saying that any serious government should be able to fix the power challenge within six months. Today, APC has been in power for how many years now. Fortunately the then governor is in the APC government as a Minister,” Jonathan said while fighting to hold back laughter.

Jonathan commended Adeniran’s aspiration, saying the party needs competent and reliable people at the helm to regain its lost glory.
